Both Jerry and his wife Carol were born and raised in Terre Haute. They met while they were in college at Indiana State University and were married in 1965. Carol became a Christian at the age of 15, and Jerry became a Christian a few years after they were married. They have 4 sons, Brian, Brad, Greg and Alan, and 10 grandchildren. Jerry served as a deacon for many years before becoming an elder. Both really enjoy Eastside and working with the family here. Jerry’s hobbies include: landscaping, football, and basketball. Carol enjoys gardening, watching basketball, and attending the grandchildren’s activities.
Jeff was born in Sullivan, Indiana and was baptized at the age of 12 at the North State Street Church of Christ. He got to know Sarah, his wife, when he was preaching at the Paxton Church of Christ. They had their first date in 1963, at the Sullivan Corn Festival when she was competing for Festival Queen, and Jeff was singing for the event. They married on Valentine’s Day of 1965. They have 3 grown children and 6 grandchildren. Jeff and Sarah have spent their lives in Indiana except for 2 ½ years in northern Mississippi. They have worshipped at Eastside since 1978. They knew the leadership and felt their children would benefit from Eastside’s Bible classes. Jeff loves all aspects of the church ministries, and particularly the areas of worship and visitation. His hobbies include repairing things and golf.
Randy was born in Princeton, IN but has lived in Terre Haute for 38 years. He became a member at Eastside in 1992, when he became a Christian. Randy served as a deacon in the role of treasurer prior to becoming an elder in 2013. He married Terri in 1992. They met on a blind date. Terri was born and raised in Terre Haute and has attended Eastside as long as she can remember. She became a Christian when she was 12. They have 2 children, Nick and Katie, who enjoyed their time in the youth group at Eastside and miss it now that they are in college. Randy’s hobbies include hunting, fishing and shooting. The family enjoys playing cards and board games.
Born and raised in Terre Haute, Tom was child number 4 of 6 children in his family. They attended Eastside until he was 8, then his father started preaching at another congregation in town. He put on Christ in baptism when he was 11. He met his wife, Kelly, in their youth group and started dating during Senior Week at Camp Wabashi. They were married in 1985. Upon graduation from college they moved to Indianapolis for 10 years, before the company he worked for moved them back to Terre Haute in 1995. They have been members at Eastside since. Tom served as Deacon of Education prior to becoming an Elder in 2010. They have three children: Drew, Bryce and Sydney, all of whom live in Terre Haute and are members of Eastside. Tom likes to do puzzles and to watch football and basketball, and loves to golf, fish and serve the Lord.
